Welcome!

Hello! I’m Aysha. I have a background in community-based and social justice oriented work, and have been practicing psychotherapy since 2020.

I offer longterm body-oriented, trauma-focused psychotherapy. Together we will learn about and work with the nervous system as a way to practice cultivating a safer and more responsive relationship to sensations, impulses, behaviours, emotions, thoughts, and beliefs.

I take an active, compassionate, playful, and collaborative approach that centers safety, connection, respect, and choice. I am committed to the liberation of all, and I aim to ground my work in anti-oppressive and transformative justice politics. Part of what this looks like, in practice, is moving away from shameful and punishing ways of relating to ourselves and our experiences, and moving toward more generosity, curiosity, and flexibility.

Outside of therapy I am typically hanging out with friends, going for walks, watching reality TV, reading, or bouldering.
